Hola Cocina Modern Mexican, Cocina + Cantina - Las Vegas, NV

This mexican inspired cocina was the brainchild of cooking school students and an mexican based instructor named Marilau Ricaud in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Marilau gave many techniques and family secrets away selflessly to her students who wanted to open a modern mexican restaurant in Las Vegas. They really nail this interior design and comida!

I felt mexico in my heart

Walking into Hola you will find some of the best interior design I have ever seen in a mexican restaurant, it felt fresh, new and not too over the top. Mexico hold a very special place in my heart and I can say 100% they did it right! Offering many GMO free and Vegan/Vegetarian dishes

Enjoy the food porn above because it was as good to eat as it was as good to look at!

I always ask the waiter for the dish that will make me want to return and his suggestion was the tuna tacos with mango salsa and it was as good as it sounded. Preferably I have learned that the tuna taco isn't my all time favorite because i love raw tuna much more but I was happy with this dish and the rice and beans. We also ordered the jackfruit tacos (vegan option) and it was fantastic.

We of course had to order the mexican style street corn and queso. (so much oil but so worth it)

To drink we got the classic orchata with dusted cinnamon on top and to our surprise the chips that were given at the beginning when we sat down was one of the shining stars of the meal!

Did I mention they were free? The chips at Hola were fresh tortilla chips with pork rinds with a coating of some paprika and salt with two great tasting salsas, we finished two baskets!

Special LOCO BOGO HOUR

They also offer a great BOGO (Buy one get one) hour of drinks such as Margaritas, Mezcalritas, Cocktails, Sangrias, Draft Beers and Micheladas yum! When we return we are definitely taking advantage of this special because it is hard to beat!

Overall Hola Modern Mexicana is fresh new twist on mexican cuisine and I can't wait to go back to eat their food and take more pictures of their amazing interior for my instagram! If you are in Las Vegas this eatery isn't close to the strip but it is well worth the drive to try their food.
