Im not excited... you're excited.

MacBook Pro models with an M4 chip are expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2024
Apple kicked off its M4 chip refresh in May with the launch of the M4 iPad Pro, and now the first Macs with M4 chips are set to arrive in 2024. According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple is gearing up to refresh both the MacBook Pro and Mac mini lineups by the end of this year.
The entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro will get the M4 chip, while the higher-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models will be updated with the M4 Pro and M4 Max chips. The Mac mini will also see upgrades with both M4 and M4 Pro chips. However, the MacBook Air, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro won’t get the M4 treatment until 2025, and there’s no word yet on when the iMac might get the refreshed chips.
The M4 chip is based on an enhanced 3-nanometer node, a step up from the M3 line. In early benchmarks, the M4 chip shows a 25% boost in multi-core performance compared to the M3, so we can expect similar improvements with the M4 Pro and M4 Max versions.
As for the upcoming MacBook Pros, aside from the M4 chip, there aren’t expected to be major new features. Apple is working on OLED displays for future models, but we probably won’t see an OLED MacBook Pro until 2026 at the earliest.
